Dear IPPLA Members:
It has been an absolute pleasure serving as President of IPPLA – it has been great getting to know all of you and hearing about all of your plans to practice IP and Privacy Law. This will be my last email as President of IPPLA, and I will be sending out a follow-up email soon announcing the new Board Members of IPPLA. Thank you for your support and making this IPPLA's best year yet!
Congratulations Graduates! I know that all of you will go on to do great and amazing things! I hope that all of you stay in touch with the Alumni Association and stay connected with the GGU School of Law community. Research Assistant Wanted for IP Book (Professor Pimm)
Bob Pimm, Director of Private Sector Advising and Adjunct Professor of Law, is seeking applications for a paid research assistant for this summer and fall. The project involves research and writing support for a book to be published by the American Bar Association titled “Digital Art.” The work will center on the myriad legal issues related to art in digital form. If you are interested, please send an email message to Bob Pimm (rpimm@ggu.edu) with a letter of interest and your resume. Please include details about your availability and other commitments during the summer and fall. This position is open to 2L and 3L students -- and those awaiting bar results. This project is anticipated to require 30-hours. Harrity Women’s Workshop
Harrity Women’s Workshop at Harrity & Harrity. It is the second annual program that is targeted towards law students and new graduates in which you focus on patent application drafting and prosecution. - In previous workshops, there were guest speakers talk about their experience in the patent law field and their career paths as well as answering questions that the participants have had. Past guest speakers have included Teresa Rea, Barbara Fisher, Courtney Holohan, and many others. The focus is on the fundamentals of patent law and how to succeed in the industry while pursuing your law degree. - The program will be taking place from May 20 to 22, 2019.
